My newest printable journal, 31 Days: New Beginnings, is a packed full of beautiful quote graphics and scriptures that celebrate new beginnings. The arrival of spring and the celebration of Easter is a good time to ponder the gift of new life that Christians have been given, through grace, because of Jesus.
The Delight in Doctrine series that Melanie have been publishing on Wednesdays is on hiatus for one week. In the meantime, I'm excited to share a resource that's closely related, something I've been working on for you! I have a new printable journal called, 31 Days of Scripture: The Character of God. It's a free gift for you, my way of letting you know how much I love and appreciate you.
Read MoreEvery January, it seems that there’s an abundance of recommended reading lists that populate the blogosphere. “Tis the season. I love reading these lists.
I used to read book lists while trying to file away a few ideas in my memory. Sadly, I probably missed out on quite a few great books this way. My memory isn’t the most reliable filing system. Things get lost in there.
Read MoreWhen I was a little girl, there used to be a little plastic box (that looked like a loaf of bread) sitting on my kitchen table. It was full of cards that I would pull out and read while I was eating breakfast. Each card had a different Proverb on it. Those were some of the first scriptures I remember reading on my own. I have always loved the Proverbs. They're straightforward, practical, and all about wisdom.
I was thinking about that box of cards the other day when I got the idea to make something for you, dear readers, a free printable booklet with Proverbs. I've combined my love of designing graphics with my love of scripture in a way that I hope will be useful to you.
Read MoreI have four new books to tell you about today! One of the joys of writing a blog is that, sometimes, I get to read books before they're officially published. I was busy this summer reading advance copies of several books, written by some of my favorite faith bloggers. Finally, I get to share them with you! The fact that these books are all written by faith bloggers makes me feel proud, particularly because they're all so great!
Read MoreHow has your summer been going? I’ve been seeing lots of adorable “back to school” pictures on Facebook lately. Here in Seattle, we still have a couple of week’s left before the kids go back.

Always together, softly swaying to the music, lifting hands in prayer, never letting go with the other set of hands. They are one. When the music turns lively, their hands swing together to the beat and the man’s feet start a little jig.....
Read MoreInstagram is one of my favorite places to be on social media. I have a lot of fun there and I'm often inspired by the creativity, the beauty, and the inspirational words. I also love the behind the scenes peeks I get into other people's lives (I love the cute kids and animals).
There are many different types of Instagram accounts that I enjoy following. One particular group that I wanted to highlight today are faith writers. Here are 25 of my favorite Instagram accounts that belong to faith writers. The following Instagram accounts that I'm sharing here today are:
Read MoreDo you love to read? I sure do. I don't have as much time as I'd like to have for reading- so I'm picky about the books that I choose. I love a great novel that makes me think, something I can get lost in, and I enjoy a light beach read, when the time is right. But most often, the books I gravitate towards are the ones that can teach me something (and get straight to the point), books that make good use limited precious time.
The following list of books that I've compiled were chosen with three criteria:
- I've read them (and wholeheartedly recommend them)
- They encouraged me in my Christian faith (and I believe they'll encourage you)
- They offer solid, no-nonsense, Biblical teaching in a compelling manner.
