Raising Godly Children: Children Who Courageously Follow Their Lord, is a new book by my friend, Aimee Imbeau (A Work of Grace), that I have the honor of sharing with you today. It’s a Christian parenting book that takes a look at marriage, sibling relationships, parent-child relationships, how to effectively disciple children.
This book felt both practical and personal, and I enjoyed reading it. Aimee is a home educating mom and she shares her perspectives on Christian parenting from this vantage point- but this is not a book that is exclusive to people who choose to educate their kids at home.
Initially, in the first chapter, I thought that it would be. Since I send my kids to public school, I nearly put the book down- thinking it wasn’t for me. I’m glad that I kept reading, because Raising Godly Children is full of practical advice and engaging stories that illustrate Aimee’s points well.
Aimee writes with wisdom, gained from her experience as a mother of three, and her study of God's Word. I recommend this book for any parent, whether seasoned or new, who wishes to glean some ideas on how to raise their own children in a way that encourages them to be Godly kids who courageously follow their Lord.
I was given a copy of Aimee’s book for review purposes- but all opinions are my own. I was also given a pdf file of the e-book that Aimee has graciously allowed me to share with one of you dear readers. If you would like the opportunity to win a copy of Raising Godly Children, I’ll make it super easy…. leave a comment at the end of this post (and if you want to recommend any other great parenting books that you’ve enjoyed, you can do that, too). I’ll leave the comments open for one week and will pick a winner at random next Monday. Make sure you leave a way that I can contact you if you win!
